We are a small family office located in the same Oshkosh location since 2008. Our current staff consists of myself Ray Loth as the licensed agent, my assistant Barbara, and a variety of regular outside resources and support agencies. I started the business in 2008 with some close family friends Nathan & Elizabeth Collier from Fort Wayne Indiana. Our wives grew up together and Elizabeth’s Dad even gave our wedding talk. The Collier family has had a well-known & very reputable retirement planning office in Indiana* since the late 1980’s. After the first few years the Colliers slowly transitioned out of their remote support role and the business is now completely owned by me and my wife Suzanne. I greatly value the independence and autonomy that the circumstances of owning my own office afford. I have no corporate oversight or outside control over the direction of the planning I do for my clients. I am therefore able to base my recommendations 100% on the needs and best interests of my clients. My wife and I were married and moved to Ripon in 1998, where we still live with our daughter. Being in business for myself also allows me to take my daughter to school many days of the week, share in volunteer activity on a weekly basis, and …spend whatever additional free time I have on our sailboat! ___________________
My name is Barbara Schlaefer. I joined Collier Legacy Planning, llc in the summer of 2018 . Previously I worked in customer service for over 20 years. I have known Ray and his family for many years. I have enjoyed learning about retirement planning and medicare planning. I look forward to helping our cliental with their customer service needs. I love spending time outside whether its in the garden or taking a walk in the woods. Also I love playing and watching sports. I also am a HUGE dog lover!
